The most important conversations we have at Lambda School go something like this: “The path you’re on right now leads to failure, and that’s what’s most likely to happen if you don’t change [x].” You can tell a lot about a person based on how they respond to that conversation.

With startups that is effectively impossible. You may succeed by luck for a few months, but you can't keep doing it.
