When linking on Twitter to something you've written that could be controversial, give people as little to engage with in the tweet itself as possible. Then (a) they'll have to actually read at least some of it before responding, and (b) you don't give them much to quote-tweet.

Trying to control how others react is a fool‘s errand anyways, no? With malicious intent even a YouTube video where you explain a thing in detail can be used against you, by taking clips out of context etc.

It's not as hard as you might think. Idiots are by definition easy to manipulate. Most who take advantage of this want them to do something, but you can also use it simply to get them to leave you alone.

There is no way to speak in which you cannot be misunderstood. (Popper: “It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood.”) Natural language, unlike math & logic, is ambiguous ∴ expressive. Its fuzziness is both feature and bug.
