Unless this student painted her from life, which is unlikely, there's nothing unusual about this. Hundreds if not thousands of people must have painted copies of the Mona Lisa.
But most of the others were not painted by a Da Vinci student.
Yes Da Vinci student and during lifetime of Da Vinci. In fact he asked his students to test some different configurations : hair, cloths, countryside behind... And in the same time he was able to paint himself his definitive version choosing every details.
I assumed they painted her at the same time

Massimo’s link addresses this. If you wish to speculate it would be nice if you did him the courtesy of checking first. This happens in the replies of many of his tweets. It must be quite galling for him.
