There's the notion that start ups with flatter org and smaller headcount have an "agility" advantage over big players. If a start up goes remote, what "loss" negatively impacts it's agility? Communication, innovation, creativity, or some other root cause? Guess we'll find out.

Outsourcing to contract manufactures/suppliers is cost effective and efficient. For medical devices, the FDA classifies the manufacturer as a specifications developer. Fast way to commercialize, stay lean and focus on sales/marketing. Need: legit partners and quality control.
