After people have kids, their opinions change about how to raise kids. They become much more in favor of having one parent work and one stay home with them.pic.twitter.com/9Q4SDniMf9

Also begs the question about what else young people, or contemporary culture in general, are wrong about.

It's much easier to believe in the "blank slate" before you have kids. Once you have two kids and they're totally different despite having the same parents and environment, you realize how much of people's character is inborn.

100%. Same with gendered behavior. (Variation amongst individuals for sure but on the whole girls and boys are different).

The Souls Code book covers this well. The acorn has everything needed to be a fully grown Oak tree but depending on where falls and the environment matters

Yes, it's substantial, but it's generally misleading, and once you have more than one data point (children >1) then that becomes more clear.

Whenever someone who doesn't have kids states that character is all about diet/education/discipline... just wait.

At some point it's not inconceivable that a large minority or even majority of millennial or Gen Z cohorts will live a good part of adulthood childless. Will they voluntarily step aside to let parents lead society? I'd say no but that's a budding political dynamic.

I have twin identical boys. They are radically different and it has been noticeable since they were a year old. It is surprising how what must be relatively minor changes in expression can result in varied personalities.

Yep. Have two boys. They couldn’t be more different in how they view humor, risk management, & failure. It’s stunning and beyond anything we could have taught.
