Something we may see more of: Many people in some industry move to some lower-tax jurisdiction, and as a result it becomes a genuine hub of that industry.https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-02-19/-everyone-s-here-microstate-is-unlikely-hub-for-youtube-stars …

Current tax rates are based on the assumption that it's difficult for people to move. But it has gotten much easier for people to move.

Not just tax rates, but government policies in general. San Francisco behaves like a huge company that has no competitors. Which till recently they didn't. But that seems to be changing.

Another issue, financing large public works. So people will move to an area after the job is done, but will leave when a job is proposed?

it is more of the assumption that the current place (with a higher tax) offers a massive leverage over other places. But maybe this assumption has started to fall as well..

Eventually, when there are no taxes anywhere, people will migrate to places that have public services.

Welcome to New Hampshire! No income tax, no sales tax, mountains, beaches, easy access to airports and train to NYC/PHI/DC. Great place to live! Also, no estate tax, so also a decent place to die. #ChamptonBeach cc @chamath 😂

Taxes are supposed to fund public infrastructure. #Bitcoin is already funding financial infrastructure in a distributed way location agnostic. Could a similar approach work for other types of infrastructure?

Authority is crumbling in many places. From education to having to be physically located in one place to have access to culture and talent. Good times.
