There is a kind of statement that's useful in its wrongness, because it articulates some popular but mistaken belief with perfect clarity. These used to be rare (professional writers hedge out of habit), but one benefit of Twitter is that there is now a constant stream of them.

fair. one trite one that comes to mind is "hard work" is all you need to climb the proverbial ladder or build successfully (wherever that ladder may be).
