yep, they made it way up to Paris on the Seine which eventually resulted in the Siege of Paris. Pretty much the same with every other river connected to the sea.
I guess the history of the future will show the 900-century viking raids was connected to the division of the Carolingian empire. It seems to me as one of the sons of Charlemagne was almost givig the vikings "raid-job" to do as they advanced to the Mediteranian coasts.
