I wish I could hire someone to finish my 3/4 done blog posts for me, I have so many now

Why are they hard to finish?

I guess I just lose steam? It used to feel a lot easier. I think I'm pickier now too.

Here's a trick that may work. Have a friend read one, and then ask you what you have left to say that you haven't said. You'll then have a conversation in which you say it. Write that down, and you have a draft of the rest.

I have a similar issue. I get so many ideas about the post, do a ton of research, and get burned out when I realize how much I don't know. I need to get better at really limiting what I'm trying to say. If you'd like someone to read your 3/4 posts, I'd be happy to.

Btw Paul, I mentioned you in one of my first blog posts 11 years ago (still in undergrad). You inspired me to blog at all actually. I talked about hero typing IRL, and how I want to quack like you. (https://alexbowe.com/hero-typing/ ). Thanks for that.

Do you ever write essays or drafts and in the process realize what you were writing isn't general and surprising enough to share?

Not usually. Just hard to keep the momentum.

I do this same thing except with myself. I do a voice recording on my phone pretending I'm explaining it to a friend (pandemic and all)
