The two groups trying to censor/destroy Clubhouse are the Chinese Communist Party and the New York Times

Yeah there’s no strategy, just constant potshots

As always, there is no plan to destroy Clubhouse or any other tech company. But they will do the same thing to CH that they did to Twitter, FB, etc. They'll bully them until they enforce the rules they think are right. It's not a conspiracy—they genuinely think it's for the best.

All of these journalists have the same beliefs about the "dangers of free speech" and just want to help make these platforms "safe." There is no larger plan behind it, but it is more than opportunism. In the process, they are making these platforms unusable for free thinkers.

Paul I don’t believe they are opportunists. Opportunists look for opportunity everywhere. They are singularly focused on tech in a way that is way beyond opportunity. They hate everything that the best part of tech represents

If there was opportunity by writing glowing reviews of Clubhouse I'm pretty sure the NYT would be doing it. But that doesn't drive half the clicks that rage pieces/tweets do.

Be wary, the media sees some tech companies as competitors. If people get news or discuss things on clubhouse they won't consume legacy media.

i think you routinely attribute the incentives of media companies writ large to individual journalists' actions in a way that makes no sense
