Talked to a guy who'd had several genuinely good startup ideas. None had worked. Why? Because he was neither a programmer nor had a cofounder who was. So he had to hire them, and that put him at the mercy of partners who had nothing to recommend them except access to money.

This hurt. But, in the process of learning code and also trying to take advantage of the nocode movement to keep myself out of this situation.

No code doesn’t really help. Issue is understanding how to decompose problems so you can deliver something useful and then iterate. No code makes mechanics easier but hard part is decomposition and prioritization.

Really goes to show that having a technical skillset is invaluable. More than anything, it makes you self-reliant and allows you to prototype.
