Parental absences (or time spent with children) actually do not correlate with social class. I think

I'm curious how this can be true for women in these countries, when at the same time, the female labor force participation rate has gone up so much. Hasn't it?

People have less kids and have them later, so averaged over generations you can have the time spent with kids decreasing in absolute but increasing per kid and per unit of time.
