  Technically they did enable them silently before this popup was introduced So the dialog is actually accurate when it mentions “disabling existing functionality” This popup should’ve been prompted over a year ago

  Not having much control on a software I relay so much on made me think about going self hosted but I don’t have the skill and the time to keep it safe, so for now I just left gmail for a competitor with servers in the EU
