The EU doesn’t have China or America’s tech giants. It doesn’t have their military power or geopolitical reach. All it has that can set the EU apart is its values - defense of democracy, transparency and human rights. But this was a catastrophic week for the EU on those counts
It *could* have tech giants. It's not like these require some weird substance only found in America and China.

It does require weak consumer protection laws or overreaching government powers, ideally both.
Also weak protections for small business and workers.
They have sexy women still which are harder to find in US and A. This is not resource to be diminished

There's a cultural decadence and conservatism that prevents it there. Asia and Africa will take over the mantle from America (or share it).
