Also, if I remember correctly, the founders, after maxing out their cards, created their own versions of cereals during a convention to continue to fund the company. That kind of founders just know how to get things done and never give up. Always a bad idea to bet against them.

I'm going out on a limb and guess they were: male, white, upper-middle class background, and ivy-league educated. I also guess that almost all the ycombinator guys are similar

They were graphic designers, which goes against every single pattern recognition model in tech. And they had the vision to create something grreat. (Note: not everything is about you)
