Spreadsheeting... It's silly. But noodling with numbers to understand something new with a spreadsheet is tremendous fun. That, or taking a bit batch of numbers and making basic sense of them that way.

Not silly. Excel is a great tool for making sense of data at normal sizes.

There feels like a lot of overlap between these two. My favourite thing to do to both is refactor obsessively to the point of elegance and beauty. Something you can only do when it’s not for anyone else but you.
