          Lenin did write a hell lot. Much of what he wrote is pre -1917.

          There's also the fact that he's treated with such reverence that practically every scrap of everything he wrote has been preserved and reproduced.

          Even considering the latter, this seems too much… Consider Churchill, his speeches and his history of WWII… Or all that Betrand Russel wrote, who was a very busy writer and lived to be 97…

          This is Lenin we're talking about though. Most of this is pre-Revolution writing, which was his only form of communication back then.
