One thing I've learned from this election is how rare voter fraud actually is. I assumed it had to exist, just not on a significant scale. But if highly motivated people are chasing it in such small quantities, it must be rarer than I thought.
Idea: Since voter fraud is one of the main pretexts used in the Republicans' disenfranchisement campaigns, maybe the Democrats will be able to re-use some of the work they've done refuting Trump's claims when fighting disenfranchisement.

Blockchain is inherently transparent - which means that, for example, an abusive spouse could see if their partner voted "correctly". It's already a difficult trade-off in mail-in voting, but out in the open for everyone?!
The real issue is getting people to pay attention. The almost total lack of voter fraud has been well known for years to anyone who does.

Republicans take the view that it’s worth disenfranchising many (including whole classes of people) to stop one fraudulent vote. Very diff from our historical view of crime, in that it’s better for many criminals to go free to avoid one innocent person going behind bars.
I agree that the work should be re-used. The affidavits filed in support of arguments will be particularly valuable, and I hope there is some discovery in the cases filed. I doubt that a political analysis will favor Ds as much as the legal analysis does.
I was thinking the same thing this morning. They’ve essentially laid bare their baseless arguments. It should serve as precedent for future claims.
I believe 1) voting fraud is now exceedingly rare And 2) voting fraud did happen in the past (based on Robert Caro’s detailed documentation in The Years of Lyndon Johnson) I would like to see a history of when voting fraud declined in prevalence and how.
