You’ve been hinting at this topic for years now but I’ve been trying to find examples of all of these hampered opinions people feel unable to express. Can you direct me to these ideas/opinions so many seem uncomfortable to express?

That is clever, but I think it ignores the fact that we actually want to hang out in echo chambers. Even the most open minded people can benefit from developing their ideas within a like minded group before subjecting it to criticism from the outside.
