Without denigrating any of the good work lambda school does - is this mostly because with the ISA, the interests actually get aligned ? Would lambdaschool still function properly if it just collected the roughly 30k up front ?

I'd also imagine it works better for fields that require very specific skills that can be mastered. Might be hard for something like, say, philosophy.

Programmers do not need more education than plumbers. In most cases you would be better off starting your carrier in high school. Spending years in college that is always behind the industry is such a waste. Only prejudice creates such a need for CS degrees.
