Based on my experiences with spam filters, this wouldn't be too hard to automate. It should be straightforward to train a spam filter to recognize mean and/or superficial tweets.

There's such a large audience pining for a small, homogeneous set of feature changes to twitter (edit button, ID required, pay-to-subscribe) that you could very well just go out, build it, and see how it goes.

@paulg I applied to YC more than month ago with a better Twitter project, I received no reply even after emailing support -
Keep building, get strong growth, keep re-applying. If you're growing fast, are being polite and persistent, then how long can they ignore you. Also, YC isn't the only accelerator. But easiest way to get in is if you can afford to say no.
