Last night my sons asked me all about drugs. I told them in as much detail as I could about each kind. My hope is that "fentanyl is *way* more dangerous than pot" will work better than the implicit equality of "say no to drugs."

That's not the right graph to show them. Those are cumulative stats. Harm from alcohol is greatest because consumption is greatest. Tells your kids nothing about the consequences of them individually consuming any particular drug.

Well, the graph also takes into consideration the harm to the individuals Per the paper’s intro: « The extent of individual harm is shown by the criteria listed as to users, whereas most criteria listed as to others take account indirectly of the numbers of users. »
