Constraining students from an education will not "fix" the problem. If anything the college industrial complex will hold those wanting wanting an education for ransom in exchange for more gov't subsidy. Make college education a public good...

People with CS degrees fail technical interviews regularly because they can’t code, and that’s supposed to be one of the more challenging majors. I don’t think people want to admit how little value a college education has at this point.
