To be honest, rendering web pages on the server sounds fairly nutty.

I asked a friend what you might mean, and neither them nor I have any idea. It sounds sort of like a joke, but puppeteer solved rendering long ago (if you meant literally). If it was a diss on server-side rendering in react, I agree, though. But then that's not a startup idea.
