Please can you do an essay on the “what if google does it” thing so we can just reference it in the appendix of all startup pitch decks? Startups will be eternally grateful and the VC industry will thank you too ... eventually
It would be as useless as writing something about the "it's not you, it's me" thing. VCs don't worry about this nearly as much as they seem to. It's mostly a just a plausible blow-off line.

I suspect the top VCs don’t worry about it but I’ve seen it a ton of times with less experienced ones – they seem genuinely convinced that Google is going to build everything deeptech-related. Perhaps I’m just projecting my own frustrations with the fundraising process
