I'm curious what story Trump will tell his followers about why he left the White House. Presumably the Democrats alone are not powerful enough to force him out. Will he blame Republican traitors? Or the deep state? "I had to leave because the GSA changed all the locks."

I wonder if he himself has figured out what he's going to say. Crafting this story is going to require a level of cleverness not usually seen from him and his immediate associates.

Perhaps the solution is to use the line favored by executives who are forced out: that despite being the wronged party, he's leaving voluntarily to prevent the organization from being distracted by this controversy at this critical moment.

His MO has been to say everything and see what sticks. He will A/B test this thing to perfection.

Thinking about this a lot - for someone where his entire identity is basically around crafty branding, it’s like building up from the most visibly unspinnable PR disaster

mind-blowing that you & others still don't recognize his campaign's narrativecraft acumen. it's been pretty obvious for awhile that his friend Vince McMahon is at least consulting on it. easily one of the campaign's most obvious triumphs. why so many fail to see it is beyond me

Doubt this is Vince's strategy. Vince is a genuinely gifted businessperson.

He’s gonna start a show and lie about how @FoxNews and “the Dems” collaborated and stole the election away from him but allowed Mitch and Lindsey to keep their jobs. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

I think you are right. He will go back to being a "reality" TV star. It will be a bigger hit than Oprah and he will make a ton of money. A good format would be like the WWF. Everyone knows it is lies, but tunes in to see what lie will be next.
