We're all looking lazily at correlation. But honestly, the vast majority of this is just tax cuts and riding the Obama economy wave (although no one talks about how Trump *underperformed* Obama on economic growth, despite shoveling $1.5T in tax cuts...)

Thank you, this is such a tired argument with no basis in reality. Five minutes plotting the past twelve years in economic data clearly shows that Trump was not responsible.

Additionally, will no one ever bring up how much of this was due to unsustainable tax cuts? If I get a credit card with a $100k limit and I max it out, it doesn’t mean I got a $100k raise.
