I think ideologues usually have an echo chamber of other ideologues they talk to who will tell each other how smart they are.

Right, what is missing is testing. Startup founders build an MVP to test if customer needs are met. How many ideologues try to build a representative community that implements their nation-scale ideas?

On top of that, just because "few realize up front something is worth doing", does not mean the founder(s) should develop it to their vision, and try to shove it down the market's throat. Feedback & flexibility is fundamental.
