Relationships are fraught, existing on a knife's edge. How to have dialogue with people in my life that I know are my opposite politically because it no longer feels like we can just avoid it, but it also seems even more painful now. I hate othering anyone, but how could they?
It may help to remember that many who voted for Trump didn't do it because they love Trump but because they deeply mistrust the Democrats.
