Sometimes I feel my 7 yr old son’s school is constantly testing me: 1) daily homework - 2 different math sets, high frequency words, reading, spelling. 2) dealing with school clothes - sports/school clothes 3) numerous special day exceptions - see & be seen day, Roald Dahl day
It took us a while to realize this (for the first couple years we quietly assumed we were uniquely incompetent) but zero parents get all the details right.

The hours of juggling and dedication needed to make it work is astounding. On top of ones job the discipline required is way more than I ever imagined. Even if I was explained it beforehand I would never have understood the demands.
