It's naff to say it, but it is amazing that the Americans can look at the last four years and be split 48-52 on whether they want more of it. Such a fascinating foreign culture!
It's not so much that they want more as that they despise the Democrats. To a lot of people in America, Democrats are smug college kids who regard them as untouchables. The Democrats would get a lot more votes if they tried to understand these people better.

I think Biden was a good at communicating in a non condescending inclusive fashion as anyone but the cacophony of noise around him from the “left” just drowned him out and that’s what most people heard. Identity politics, extreme wealth disparity etc is killing us

I grew up in Kentucky and understand them well. Many of them are just angry, violent people. Way more than you'd normally think. There is a portion that simply favor a conservative stance (men gun control, women abortion), but they often turn into the first group over time.
