Competence is not a very exciting-sounding quality, but it's the most important one to have in a president, especially in tough times. It's why I voted for Biden, and I hope you'll join me.

I agree with this but also see the ideology of the left and the trend towards more extreme forms of thinking as being more dangerous at this time than the ideology on the right....so I'm pretty damn torn about this election.
It's true that the left is more ideological. But Biden himself isn't particularly so. He has taken a lot of heat for this from the far left, but it means that as a president we can be reasonably sure he'll be a pragmatist.

Implying he's got any agency or energy, and won't just hand it over to Harris as fast as isn't unseemly. All those 'lid' days - doesn't say good things for his ability to produce either in the presidency.

Biden has already been pushed leftward by AOC and others. It seems doubtful at this point he would even make it a full first term. Did you watch his running mate's video on "Equality vs Equity"? I'm sure you can guess which she prefers. Hint: "We all end up at the same place."
