Having worked a little on text classification, it seems to me very likely that these writers are leaving a damning trail that they don't realize they're leaving. It seems likely that it will be possible to analyze and even quantify the bogusness that's obvious to a human reader. This risk is an unexpected, perpetual liability, much as independent replication has been for psychology, or plagiarism detection for EU politicians' theses.
One thing I know for sure I would not do is go work for a big company, even a prestigious one like Google. I'd probably either go to grad school (like I did) or start a startup. - Paul
