I don't know how troubled by SEO that market is, but I've often thought it would be good to build a programmable search engine. If you can only have a niche to start with, programmers are a great one.

what parts of the search engine would be "programmable"? e.g. "list top 5 salmon recipes" and then "return the one that is the easiest"?

1/ choose your sources: recipes from friends, bloggers, or chefs? 2/ choose your bubble: wanna see what people like you consider the easiest, or the favs of fish enthusiasts? these 2 alone would make a massive diff.
