The problem with random activism is not the activism, but the randomness. It results in superficial gestures that have no effect. https://missionprotocol.org

While random activism is highly correlated with privilege, I don't think they're identical.

The framing of random implies there is no systemic flaws to society that people in a company experience or the company could improve en route To remove any focus but mission feels overly binary Too many causes risks being ineffective, one singular mission, arguably myopic

It's the difference between not just what you do, but the way you do it

(also thank you for a genuine reply to what was, admittedly a sassy tweet) So called "random" activism comes from the lack of privilege more often than not

I see the opposite. The random activism tends to come from those with privilege, who have time to sit around theorycrafting about solutions. The less privileged may be just as activist, but they are much more focused on what actually matters to them.
