His son is corrupt. That's not the same as both of them being corrupt. Whereas Trump's kids are not only corrupt, but corrupt on his orders.

My father was in high gov, so I know corrupt people who extracted rent based on their connections and every time the person in power knows if not actually getting kickbacks or is benefiting in a way. My bros and I could've done it but my father would've literally killed us.
In places that are strict about corruption by political leaders, it's more common for feckless relatives to conceal it from them, because in that case the relatives are selling out their family member and not just the country.

It's compounded by the fact it's not just one member, nearly the whole family (in the article). But you could be right and they're all concealing it from him. It seems like there would be more incriminating evidence if he was involved.
