His son is corrupt. That's not the same as both of them being corrupt. Whereas Trump's kids are not only corrupt, but corrupt on his orders.

It's his son, his brother, and his brother's wife. It's highly unlikely his family is being corrupt at exactly the same time and place where his Joe is conducting diplomacy or holding power without his knowledge.
Nothing is more likely. The feckless relatives of famous and/or powerful people more often than not try to ride on their coattails in some way. Have you read so little history that this idea seems unfamiliar?

My father was in high gov, so I know corrupt people who extracted rent based on their connections and every time the person in power knows if not actually getting kickbacks or is benefiting in a way. My bros and I could've done it but my father would've literally killed us.

In places that are strict about corruption by political leaders, it's more common for feckless relatives to conceal it from them, because in that case the relatives are selling out their family member and not just the country.
