He was quite surprised when I told him this often happened to me in real life. He asked for an example. I told him how people claim I decide which startups to fund based on how closely the founders resemble Mark Zuckerberg. He thought this was hilarious.

I said it jokingly once to a reporter. He got that it was a joke, and made that clear when he printed it. But once it was printed, lots of other people eagerly quoted it, because it was how they wanted to believe investors operate.
