They're currently about a Penguin mob boss known as "the Pimpin' Penguin," so it's hard to say what age group they'd be considered suitable for.

Had that always been the routine? When did the roles reverse? I’m on year 4.

To be honest I wish he'd let me read at least a little, because we're near the end of The Prisoner of Azkaban, and I want to know what happens.

That sounds amazing. Every so often I ask our 4 year old to tell me a story (instead of me telling him one) or we’ll do a joint story (I’ll start, then kick it to him, then back to me, etc). He’s still mostly interested in having dad do all the work :)

I attempt to read to my 2 yo every night, a 10 page book can easily take 30 mins to complete as he describes and questions every picture. I have to let him finish before I continue. I thought it would get easier by 8 yo!

It might get actually harder. For instance my 7yo insists on me inventing stories rather than reading books. We are somewhere in the middle of a story being a mix of LOTR and Inception. Someday he will find out :)
