It's easy to answer this if you start by asking "Is it a big problem that people currently have to signal such things?" Only an economist would say yes.
Incidentally, it's probably not even true that publishing details would eliminate signalling. People in England in 1850 expended great effort signalling their ancestry, despite the fact that every detail was published in Debrett's. Signalling is used to remind, not just inform.

Yeah, great point. They wanted to make it salient on a gut level. It's not enough that people on some level do know how rich they are; it needs to be constantly rubbed in.
Height is really important to male dating market success yet tall men don't signal their height (outside of dating apps) by, say, wearing clothes that only tall people can wear.
Height is eminently observable without such additional signals, however
Signaling is also used to present information in ways that are more perceptually, emotionally, & instinctually compelling to real-life evolved humans than mere quantitative data & graphs can do.
