People now show off wealth via cars, clothes, etc., health via sports, hard drinking, etc., & smarts via vocabulary, degrees, etc. Such signaling might happen less if we published easy-found official tests/measures of everyone's wealth, health, & smarts. Do you support doing so?

Sure, we want to show off 100 dims of who we are, and this would only publish 3 of them. Even so, might cut waste re those 3 dims, & allow us to focus on other 97.

Yeah, great point. They wanted to make it salient on a gut level. It's not enough that people on some level do know how rich they are; it needs to be constantly rubbed in.

Height is really important to male dating market success yet tall men don't signal their height (outside of dating apps) by, say, wearing clothes that only tall people can wear.
-
Height is eminently observable without such additional signals, however

Signaling is also used to present information in ways that are more perceptually, emotionally, & instinctually compelling to real-life evolved humans than mere quantitative data & graphs can do.
