This graph was originally drawn on a whiteboard. I asked one of the startups in the batch that included several designers to make a digital version of it for me. They were so busy that they never got around to it. (The startup was Airbnb.)

Trough of sorrow resonates with how I describe the experience: World War I trench warfare. Progress (or is it?) is made inch by inch, and it’s meat grinder of the mind.
