oh no a bunch of startup people are tweeting about a plane as if it's a operational supersonic aircraft when actually it's a scale model and it doesn't fly

Plenty of people talk about boring holes in the ground that look like subways or devices that monitor pig brain activity that isn't usable for humans. Big, hard, & ambitious ideas feed off of momentum to succeed because the journey is very long to launch.

You can say what you've accomplished so far without burying the fact that it doesn't....fly.

They put a plane that doesn't fly on a runway?! I think you're helping my point?

If you've decided to willfully ignore the headline then we've reached an impasse. You're entitled to your opinion but I disagree with your view of their intentions.

You see that and are supposed to think it's ready for an imminent test flight (after all, it's on the runway!). But it's not. That's the last video on the page, BTW. Meanwhile, they're released a ton of content that doesn't say up front where they are in development.

Fwiw, I perceive this plane will fly at some point. Why do you think the opposite?

Suhail was mistaken about the flight schedule. But that doesn't excuse you for getting this so wrong. Honestly, you are embarrassing yourself in this thread.

Cool. BTW, if you were relating Boom's news today to a smart friend, you'd say something like "here's some updates on their main product, and they're also making a smaller test craft (took a look), which they hope to fly in 2021". Now compare that to tweets from startup people.

No one: Absolutely no one: Me: ok guys, here’s my verdict: you’re both right. Gabe is absolutely right that most tech hangers on (like me) assumes the unveiling was about to fly very soon. But I also don’t think it was intentionally misleading.
