What I meant is commerce seems to be flourishing there despite an autocratic government, which is confounding. Does their system eventually break (perhaps through revolution to get rid of the autocrats)?

True enough. But in terms of prestige, it does seem that emulating Jack Ma et al. ranks highly. Whether more highly than being party man, I cannot tell.
