Like CIA: insiders never refer to it with the definite article. That would be like referring referring to "the God" or "the Batman."

Americans do. Calling it just ‘Concorde’ is rare there. Canadians do both, but most of us do not add the definite article.

When I was in government many would actually say ‘Energy’ instead of DoE, ‘Ag’ instead of the Department of Agriculture, and ‘Commerce’ instead of the Dept of Commerce.
