There also seems to be two big windows where somebody is more likely to be a founder of a startup. Before they have kids and after their kids are grown. We can address some of that with policy like not tying healthcare to employment. But kids change things.

You were busy raising your family, and before you know it you realized you haven't done anything you promised yourself to do when you were young.

Kids reaching adulthood (or close enough you realize how much you will no longer do with them) and you're parents dying (or ill enough to realize how much you can no longer do with them) is the statically window I'm in. Had not thought of it that way.
