I have a different thesis. They will still take the bath. But staring at their smartphone. They won't even look at the view.
Bit amazing that the SV crowd hasn’t taken up the bath culture like the Europeans or Japanese/Koreans. Hot bath, cold plunge; sauna, cold plunge = state of deep relaxation. Replicate at home with hot bath, cold shower.
I like those fancy but obivously too large a shower. I bet those people get cold... Or use other, normal bathrooms.
I only have a bath. No shower. Time spent relaxing, regenerating, reflecting is productive time. A life spent in constant motion is a life spent without thought.
Baths and showers aren't mutual substitutes. There's nothing better than a bath after a long motorcycle ride in cold or wet weather. I make a point of trying to book hotel rooms with baths when touring.
