If Biden wins, & Dems win Senate & House, & allies still dominate most courts, media, tech, academia, for years there will still be similar class/sex/race inequality, pollution, police abuse, pandemic death, China conflict, etc. What villains will then be blamed?

There's a good chance some of these things would in fact be better. E.g. the US coronavirus response pretty obviously could have been better. And many of the others don't get blamed on the Republicans specifically anyway.

It would certainly be _interesting_ if the Democrats win and suddenly we no longer have riots when black criminals decide they aren't in the mood to be arrested.

Regarding COVID response, Fauci’s been in his role since Reagan’s first term. Wouldn’t Biden be relying on him, Birx, etc. too? Unless the allegation is that Trump has rejected their advice (in which case, presumably they would have said so), how would Biden be better?

I can see novel ways things may get better and novel ways things may get worse: what so you know that makes the chance good? What are your principles for dealing with credit and blame?

Plenty of dems are at fault for our response. Pelosi, Cuomo and de blasio didn’t do so great

The only chance that US corona response would have been better is if epidemiologists would stick their necks out against progressive ideology if there isn't a Trump to get the blame for their screw up. IOW, same basic dynamic as @Steve_Sailer noted belowhttps://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/30/world/europe/ski-party-pandemic-travel-coronavirus.html …

Maybe, but some of these issues are more important than others. I happen to think that demographics and social unity are more important than the other issues, and by a long shot, because changes there are irreversible.

Oh i'm not claiming some things won't get better. I'm just not sure that will be enough to sate the thirst for villains to blame. A lot of people have gotten pretty used to habits of blame.

It's not the response in the USA. It's the supply chain (reagents, equipment, etc) . Having a trade war right now in the middle of the pandemic is making a bad situation dramatically worse..

The covid response could‘ve been better in abstract is different than covid response would’ve been better *with democrats in wh/sen*. Curious to what degree you believe the latter? Not a trump supporter but at state and local level I don’t see it?
