I wonder if your take would be the same if you were on the negatively impacted side of the existing policies. The perspective that the employees that care about their company making positive social impact, aren't productive employees is sad to see.

I was curious enough to check the LinkedIn for the party in question, who has been an intern at five companies over the past few years while pursuing a graduate degree in a progressive city.

All of which is fine. The party in question has thousands of other tech companies to choose from that take the opposite approach and where other concerns than mission come first.
