If you want a precise, neutral test for who's an extremist, the best might be anyone who says "Anyone who's not with us is against us."

Yes, they acknowledge that, I think maybe what you have in mind just has a different name? If someone declares "you're either with us or against us" about, say murdering children, I don't think would seem extremist because that's a very standard line in the sand.
