When the coronavirus epidemic is over, I doubt I'll unfollow all the infectious disease experts I followed. Which means if there's another epidemic, I'll get an early warning of it. Which means my Twitter account has acquired immunity.

In your estimation how much sooner were the infectious disease experts aware of coronavirus?

I started taking it very seriously after listening to an episode of the
@80000Hours podcast with@cassidyknelson (works on pandemic prevention at Oxford) mid February where she likened it to SARS (which we lucked out on), but it seemed like a pretty big deal starting mid January

Sadly due to the nature of pandemics early warning doesn’t mean much unless whole society decide to react to it.
